IT support built around your endodontics practice
Microscope and imaging integrations layer on top of your core PMS, and a dropped connection mid-procedure is a different order of problem than a slow front-desk screen. We build the network and workstations around that reality.
Endodontics is not general dentistry with different software
Endodontic procedures depend on a microscope and imaging integration staying connected and responsive for the full length of a procedure, not just at the start. A general-practice network setup treats that integration as one more application on the workstation. We treat it as the priority it is, because a dropped connection or a lagging image feed mid-procedure is not something that waits for a help-desk ticket.
We size workstations and network throughput around microscope and imaging integration specifically, configure application-aware backup that protects the PMS database without interrupting procedure workflow, and keep vendor-certified configurations documented so a routine Windows update does not break an integration that was working yesterday.
Where a generic setup usually breaks first
- A microscope or imaging integration that lags or drops mid-procedure because the workstation and network were never sized for real-time imaging load
- A Windows or driver update applied on a generic patch schedule that breaks a microscope integration the vendor had certified against an older configuration
- Backup that runs during procedure hours and competes for the same bandwidth the imaging integration needs
- No documented fallback if the imaging connection drops mid-procedure
- A general dentistry IT plan applied to an endodontic practice with meaningfully different real-time performance requirements

Endodontics IT questions
Can you fix an imaging feed that lags or drops mid-procedure?
Usually, yes. That's almost always workstation or network throughput falling short of real-time imaging demand, not a problem with the microscope or imaging software itself. We size both around the actual load a procedure generates, not a general-practice estimate.
Do you schedule backup around procedure hours?
We do. Backup that competes with a live imaging integration for bandwidth during procedures is a design mistake, not an unavoidable tradeoff. We schedule it to avoid that conflict entirely.
What happens if the imaging connection drops mid-procedure?
We document a fallback plan as part of onboarding rather than leaving that scenario to chance. Knowing what the fallback is before it's needed is the difference between a brief interruption and a canceled procedure.
Is our endodontic PMS database actually covered by backup?
Only if the backup is application-aware, and we verify that rather than assume it. We configure backup that closes or quiesces the database correctly before the copy runs, and we test restores on a schedule.
Read the PMS security checklist for the access, backup, and integration questions worth reviewing regardless of which platform you run.
Tell us what you run. We'll tell you what it needs.
A 15-minute call covers your current PMS, imaging setup, and location count, and what a properly sized environment around it actually looks like.
No pressure, no obligation. If we are not the right fit we will tell you and point you somewhere better.
