Most providers around here are still running a playbook from 2005. We build the security model attackers actually run into today, answer the phone ourselves, and fix root causes instead of closing tickets.

Free IT & Security Self-Check

Nine questions, five minutes. Find the gaps your provider has not mentioned.

Is MFA enforced on every account, including the owner’s?
Has anyone tested a full restore in the last 90 days?
Is your DMARC at enforcement, or just monitoring?

What We Do

Everything your technology needs, under one flat monthly rate

Six service areas that work as one system. Most clients start with managed IT and security, then add phones and cabling as equipment comes up for renewal.

Why We Are Different

Twenty years of experience is only an advantage if you updated the playbook

Plenty of providers in this market have been doing it the same way since the server closet was the center of the universe. Attacks changed. The stack should too. Here is the honest comparison.

The legacy MSP approach
The NexGen approach
Security model
Antivirus and a firewall. Passwords never expire.
Identity-first: Conditional Access, phishing-resistant MFA, managed EDR on every endpoint.
Email protection
Whatever came with the mailbox.
Enforced SPF, DKIM, and DMARC, plus impersonation and link protection tuned to your domain.
Backups
A nightly job someone hopes is running.
Immutable off-site copies with scheduled restore tests and a written recovery time you can hold us to.
Who answers
A tier-one script reader who escalates and disappears.
A senior technician who knows your environment and owns the fix.
How problems get closed
Ticket closed, same issue next month.
Root cause documented and eliminated, then added to your standards so it does not come back.
Compliance help
“Talk to your compliance person.”
HIPAA, IRS Pub 4557, WISP, and cyber insurance technical sections handled with you.
Pricing
Hourly surprises and vague line items.
Flat monthly rate, quoted after we see your environment. You know the number before you sign.

How It Works

Four steps, no surprises

You will know the cost, the timeline, and the risks before you commit to anything beyond a phone call.

15-minute fit call

A short, honest conversation about your size, industry, and what is actually breaking. If we are not a match we say so on that call and point you somewhere better.

Assessment and findings report

We document your network, identities, endpoints, backups, and email security, then score everything against a modern baseline. You get a written report with prioritized risks. The report is yours to keep regardless of what you decide.

Stabilize the critical items

In the first 30 days we close the gaps that would cost you the most: exposed identities, missing MFA, unprotected backups, unpatched edge devices.

Ongoing management and strategy

Flat monthly per-seat coverage, proactive monitoring, and quarterly reviews where we plan around your budget and your busy season instead of surprising you in the middle of it.

Questions

Questions we get on the first call

Who is a good fit for NexGen IT Solutions?

Michigan businesses with five or more employees that depend on their technology to get paid. We do our best work with medical and dental practices, tax and accounting firms, and law firms, but any organization in that size range with real uptime and security requirements is a fit.

We are not the right fit for one-off break-fix work, offices under five seats, or home computers. Residential support is handled through a separate business so it never competes with client work.

What makes you different from the MSP we have now?

Most providers in this market are running the same playbook they built fifteen or twenty years ago: an on-prem server, antivirus, a nightly tape or USB backup, and a ticket queue. That stack does not stop the attacks that actually happen today, which start with a stolen password rather than a virus.

We build identity-first. Conditional Access, phishing-resistant multi-factor authentication, managed detection and response on every endpoint, enforced DMARC, and immutable backups we actually test. You also get a senior technician on the phone instead of a tier-one script reader.

How fast do you respond?

Managed clients get a live human on standard requests within one business hour, and anything that stops work jumps the queue immediately. Our coverage window is Monday to Friday, 9:00a to 5:00p ET.

After-hours support and 24/7 priority incident response are included with the Elite plan. Clients on other plans can reach us outside business hours for a genuine emergency at our after-hours rate.

Do you handle HIPAA, WISP, and cyber insurance paperwork?

Yes. We run the technical side of HIPAA Security Rule risk analysis for medical and dental practices, build the written information security program that IRS Publication 4557 and the FTC Safeguards Rule require of tax preparers, and complete the technical sections of cyber insurance applications so you are not guessing at answers that affect your coverage.

What does onboarding look like?

A 15-minute fit call, then a paid assessment where we document your environment and score it against a modern security baseline. You get a written findings report with prioritized fixes and a flat monthly quote. Remediation of the critical items happens in the first 30 days, and the report is yours whether or not you hire us.

Do you support remote staff and multiple locations?

Yes. Our stack is cloud-managed, so a laptop at a satellite office or an employee's kitchen table is governed by the same policies as a workstation at your main site. We provide onsite service across Michigan, scheduled as needed.

Ready for IT that keeps up with the threats?

One 15-minute call tells us both whether this is a fit. No deck, no pressure, no obligation.

No pressure, no obligation. If we are not the right fit we will tell you and point you somewhere better.
