Website Design & Hosting
Websites built by people who also secure them
Custom design, lean code, and hosting that includes backups, SSL, patching, and monitoring. A website is infrastructure, and most web designers hand it over and disappear.
A website is the one piece of IT your customers actually touch
Which makes it strange that web design and IT are usually bought from two different companies who never speak. The designer builds something attractive and leaves. Nobody patches it. Nobody configures email authentication on the domain. Nobody notices when it goes down on a Saturday. Eighteen months later the site is compromised, or slow, or both, and there is nobody obvious to call.
We build sites the way we build the rest of your infrastructure: deliberately, documented, and maintained. That means lean code rather than a page builder loading forty scripts, real SEO structure rather than a plugin someone installed and never configured, and hardened admin access with MFA rather than a shared password in a spreadsheet.
It also means we handle the parts that sit adjacent to the site and usually get missed. DNS, SSL, and email authentication all live in the same place, and a new website with an unauthenticated domain is an open invitation to have your company spoofed to your own clients.
We build for businesses and nonprofits we do not manage IT for, so this is a genuine standalone service. The advantage of doing both is simply that there is one number to call and nobody to point at.
You probably need this if
- Your site is slow, and nobody has looked at why
- Nobody is patching WordPress core, themes, or plugins
- You cannot edit your own content without calling someone
- The site is not credible next to your competitors
- You have no idea whether the site is backed up
- Your domain has no email authentication configured

Deliverables
What you actually get, in writing
Not a vague promise of support. Specific artifacts you can point at, hand to an auditor, or take with you if you ever leave.
Design concepts before build
You see and approve the direction before anyone writes production code, so revisions happen when they are cheap.
Lean, fast production build
No page builder bloat. Speed is both a ranking factor and a conversion factor, and it comes from restraint rather than from a caching plugin bolted on afterward.
SEO foundation, configured
Unique titles and descriptions on every page, clean heading hierarchy, structured data, and a submitted sitemap. Not a plugin installed and left at defaults.
Hardened and monitored
MFA on admin logins, security patching on a schedule, uptime alerting, and off-site backups with tested restores.
Domain and email authentication
SPF, DKIM, and DMARC configured at launch, so a new site does not come with a spoofing vulnerability attached.
Ownership and handover documentation
Domain, DNS, hosting, and admin credentials documented and yours. If you leave, you take a working site, not a hostage situation.
Questions
Questions about this service
Do we have to be an IT client to get a website?
No. Roughly half the sites in our portfolio belong to businesses we do not manage IT for. Web design is a standalone service. Clients who use us for both get the convenience of one number to call, but there is no bundling requirement.
WordPress or something else?
Whichever actually fits. WordPress when you want to edit content yourself or need a plugin ecosystem for e-commerce, donations, or memberships. A hand-built static site when speed and security matter more than self-editing, which is genuinely the right answer for a lot of brochure sites and is dramatically cheaper to secure. We will tell you which one fits rather than defaulting to whatever is easiest for us.
Should you host it, or can we host it elsewhere?
We recommend hosting with us because it is the only way patching, backups, and monitoring stay somebody's actual responsibility. An unpatched WordPress install is one of the most reliably compromised things on the internet. That said, if you would rather host elsewhere we will build it and hand it over cleanly with documentation.
Will a redesign hurt our search rankings?
It can, badly, if redirects are not mapped. Every URL on the old site needs to either survive or point somewhere sensible with a 301. This is the single most common way a redesign destroys traffic that took years to earn, and it is entirely preventable. We map redirects before launch and monitor Search Console afterward.
How long does it take, and what do you need from us?
A straightforward brochure site runs three to five weeks from kickoff. The pace is almost always set by content and photos rather than by build time, which is why we give you a schedule with your content deadlines marked. Sites with e-commerce, donation processing, or membership functionality take longer.
Can you just fix or maintain the site we already have?
Yes. Maintenance-only arrangements are available: patching, backups, monitoring, SSL, and small content changes. If the existing build is sound we would rather maintain it than sell you a rebuild you do not need.
Want to know where you stand right now?
The assessment documents your environment, scores it against a modern baseline, and hands you a written report you keep either way.
No pressure, no obligation. If we are not the right fit we will tell you and point you somewhere better.
